Tipsy Apple Pecan Pie

This double-crust pie filled with apples and bourbon-soaked raisins is turned upside down onto a plate after baking to reveal a gooey pecan topping.

cup seedless raisins

Tbsp. bourbon

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, softened

cup PLANTERS Pecan Halves

1/2

cup firmly packed light brown sugar

Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie

cups peeled sliced apples

1/2

cup granulated sugar

Tbsp. lemon juice

Tbsp. flour

1/2

tsp. ground cinnamon

1/4

tsp. salt

cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 450°F. Mix raisins and bourbon; set aside. Spread all of the margarine onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate. Press pecans, top sides down, in margarine; pat brown sugar evenly over pecans. Divide pastry in half; roll out one half to 10-inch circle on lightly floured surface. Place over brown sugar in pie plate.

DRAIN raisins; discard liquid. Toss raisins with apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon and salt. Spoon over pie crust in pie plate. Roll out remaining pastry to 10-inch circle. Place over apple mixture; crimp edges of pastry together to seal. Prick top crust with fork to allow steam to vent.

BAKE 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F. Bake an additional 45 minutes or until top crust is lightly browned. Cool on wire rack 5 minutes or until filling stops bubbling. Place serving plate over pie; carefully invert pie onto plate. Remove pie plate. Cool completely. Serve topped with whipped topping.

My husband loved this. I do not like apple pie BUT I loved this also, and would actually make it for myself!!! It is very simple to make yet looks complicated, which it is NOT.

This was not only delicious in every way, but gorgeous to look at. It turned out just like the picture. Beautiful presentation! I made it for my husband's birthday instead of a cake. Definitely a keeper! Thanks.

Everyone loved this pie. I received rave reviews from my daughter's in-laws and family on Thanksgiving when I took it to their home for dessert. I would definately make this again. I have family & friends asking me for the recipe already for the Christmas holiday. I tried to have them get it from Kraftfoods.com but the recipe is now missing under Tipsy Apple Pecan Pie. Please put it back into your recipes. I am so glad I printed it off & it's in MY RECIPE BOX.

I made this for my boyfriend and his friends at work. They are all jealous of him now! This was a fantastic pie. Fairly easy to make. Will be making it again!

This is delicious. I used chopped pecans instead of pecan halves. The top of this pie is crunchy and sweet!! I made this pie 3 weekends in a row!! Family loved it.

I actually got a great compliment from my husband and that says a lot! The pie was easy to make, very good combination of flavors. It looks very professional, I was proud. Most of the pecans stuck to the pie plate, is there a secret to this process? I was able to put them in place. I would highly recommend this pie.
