The product is flavorless and bland. All it needs is a can and half of regular old tomato sauce, then it's delicious!
This is not your "Best Lasagna."
I followed the directions exactly, and this is what I found: I agree with others when they say it was dry; it definitely needs more sauce! The recipe has potential, but it requires a few changes for my family (more garlic, black olives, and I doubled the amount of mozzarella on top). I may use it as a base for my lasagna sometimes, but I'll definitely tweak it in the future!
To me the lasagna was dry. Next time I will use a jar of spaghetti sauce or plain tomatoe sauce in addition to the diced tomatoes to give it more moisture. And add more seasoning.
Also, cut your cooking time by using the "no need to boil" kind of noodles. It is superb!
I made this recipe for dinner one night and my boyfriend loved it. I used two cups of mazarella cheese on the top, 2lbs of ricotta cheese, used 1lb of ground beef and also added some hot italian sausage. I also added in crushed tomatoes to the meat sauce. He loved it so much he called me from work the next day to bring him some leftovers for dinner. Will definately make again.
Made this for a dinner party with friends. Everyone loved it. Next time will add more cheese.
This was a very good lasagne recipe. Even my six year old daughter liked it ! ! ! !
Everyone loved this lasagna. Everyone wants the recipe! It was really good and I received great compliments on it. It was easy to make and all of the flavors mellowed together. Tasted even better the next day. I added extra tomato sauce so it wouldn't be so dry. Also, have extra sauce on the side for those who like to drizzle some on top of their lasagna.
Awesome! Everyone who has ever tasted this wants the recipe. I add oregano for more of a taste.
