Honey Mustard Pork Roast with Apple Stuffing recipe

A boneless pork roast is rolled up with an herbed bread and apple stuffing. After roasting, it’s sliced and served with a savory apple-mustard sauce.

What You Need

1/2

cup chopped onion

1/4

cup chopped celery

Tbsp. margarine or butter

1/2

cup GREY POUPON Savory Honey Mustard, divided

2-1/2

cups white bread cubes

2/3

cup chopped apple

1/2

tsp. poultry seasoning

boneless pork loin roast (3 lb.), butterflied

Tbsp. flour

cup apple juice

Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Cook onion and celery in margarine in large skillet on medium-high heat until crisp-tender. Add 2 Tbsp. of the mustard, the bread cubes, apple and poultry seasoning; mix well. Set aside.

UNROLL roast. Spread with 2 Tbsp. of the remaining mustard; top with the bread mixture. Re-roll roast; secure with kitchen string. Place on rack in roasting pan.

BAKE 2 hours or until meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of roast registers 160°F. Remove roast from pan to carving board. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing to serve. Meanwhile, remove 1 Tbsp. of the drippings from roasting pan; place in small saucepan. Add flour; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Cook on medium heat 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add apple juice and remaining 1/4 cup mustard; cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil. Remove from heat; stir in parsley. Slice the roast. Serve topped with mustard sauce.

If you like mustard this is the recipe for you! I'm not a huge fan so I didn't like it much. This is NOT a quick and easy recipe. This is more like a special occasion dish for me. Also, I hate washing dishes and I dirtied a ton. No thank you!!! It good but not worth the effort for me. Bottom line if you are not a cook like me, this recipe is probably not for you.

Made this for dinner last night - was very tasty but checked the internal temperature after an hour and it was over done! Although a tad dry at this point, the gravy/ sauce helped and was very good, too. Will definitely make this again but will check after 45 minutes and go from there. Served with mashed potatoes and corn...perfect for a cozy Sunday dinner.

This recipe is AWESOME. I made this for Easter dinner for my Dad and Husband, they could not believe that "I" made such a dish. It was out of this world, just like an expensive entre at an fancy restaurant. I even served it on a beautiful fancy plate - it looked so professional. I would make this over and over again! For anyone who wants to impress at a family gathering or dinner party, this is it.

"AMAZING" was my son's response when my coworkers asked him how was his dinner last night. He said the "stuffing was moist and tastey". I used Honey Mustard Dressing and cornbread stuffing with crasins. I also added extra apples too. The flavor of the craisins together with the apples added a wonderful moist/sweet flavor to the stuffing, YUM! This recipe is defintely a keeper. Did I mention how much I LOVE the Kraft site?

Can I make this recipe in the slow cooker if I add the juice in the beginning and make the sauce with the liquid when it's done??

Made this recipe last year for the in-law Christmas party at my house--everyone is coming back this year and everyone has DEMANDED I make this again. It was my first big family dinner, and this recipe was a huge hit.

I made this for a couples dinner party and it was fantastic, everyone raved over it... a little time consuming but well worth it, if you have the time.

I made this special dish for my son (who is a gormet cook) and his family. It was absolutely wonderful. We all loved it. I did add some raisins to the stuffing and we all loved the flavor. I would definitely make this again and it's a great recipe for a special occasion...and oh so easy.

I entertained some guests and my boyfriend with this recipe and they said it was fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed it myself and will definately keep this recipe to make again!
