Honey Mustard Pork Roast with Apple Stuffing recipe

A boneless pork roast is rolled up with an herbed bread and apple stuffing. After roasting, it’s sliced and served with a savory apple-mustard sauce.

What You Need

1/2

cup chopped onion

1/4

cup chopped celery

Tbsp. margarine or butter

1/2

cup GREY POUPON Savory Honey Mustard, divided

2-1/2

cups white bread cubes

2/3

cup chopped apple

1/2

tsp. poultry seasoning

boneless pork loin roast (3 lb.), butterflied

Tbsp. flour

cup apple juice

Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Cook onion and celery in margarine in large skillet on medium-high heat until crisp-tender. Add 2 Tbsp. of the mustard, the bread cubes, apple and poultry seasoning; mix well. Set aside.

UNROLL roast. Spread with 2 Tbsp. of the remaining mustard; top with the bread mixture. Re-roll roast; secure with kitchen string. Place on rack in roasting pan.

BAKE 2 hours or until meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of roast registers 160°F. Remove roast from pan to carving board. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing to serve. Meanwhile, remove 1 Tbsp. of the drippings from roasting pan; place in small saucepan. Add flour; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Cook on medium heat 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add apple juice and remaining 1/4 cup mustard; cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil. Remove from heat; stir in parsley. Slice the roast. Serve topped with mustard sauce.

This pork roast was wonderful. Full of flavor. The combination of mustard and apple was great. Definitely a keeper.

this looks really good, and i want to try this after all the rave reviews, but the question that i have is does it matter what kind of apples you use? <<< From Mary, Kraft Kitchens Expert ~ Any variety of apple can be used to prepare the stuffing. >>>

Fantastic!! I was still thinking about this recipe a week later. Any honey-dijon/mustard marinade will do.

This was made for one of my holiday entrees. I was a little hesitant about how strong it would be but it was great ! Everyone one enjoyed it along with all the other new recipes I tried for my buffet. ;-)

Delicious! My daughter loves pork so this was our Christmas dinner. It was easy to make. I followed the recipe and used some french-type bagette bread 9since I had it for another recipe) instead of plain white bread cubes. The gravy is wonderful, also. I will definitely make this again!

I made this for my boyfriend and he said it was absolutely tasty- and I most certainly agree. The blend of flavors was unique, unlike anything i have had before. Big thumbs up!

Family members of all ages liked this dish. I personally thought the honey mustard was a bit overwhelming. The next time I make it, I'll use plain dijon. Caution: baking time was only 90 minutes to get to 160 deg.

Would change the flavoring of the stuffing for sure. Needed more kick to it. Had a nice flavor, but could have been so much better. The family thought it was good, but there was a lot leftover!
