Black Bottom-Banana Cream Pie

Black Bottom-Banana Cream Pie recipe
Classic diner cream pie meets state fair midway treat, and a star is born. It's like a chocolate-dipped banana, only with a crust instead of a stick.

easier way...I'm cheap and lazy (or frugal and conserve energy!)... premade crumb crust, Jello-O chocolate fudge instant pudding for bottom layer, and Jell-O banana cream instant pudding instead of vanilla, yummy! & easy

It was such an easy recipe but most of all it was delicious. One of the best banana cream pies I ever made. The crust was simple to make & the chocolate easy to drizzle on. Not sure why another baker had such a problem. It will definitely be among my favorite recipes. YUMMY!!!

Three things: one, the recipe says 'drizzle' the chocolate, not spread. That's key. Two: many stores carry the vanilla wafer crusts already made which makes this a real breeze to do. Three: I made mine with cooked pudding, which helped settle the chocolate a bit. Good stuff!

Great recipe! A nice change from the traditional banana pudding I usually make - with adding only one ingredient, chocolate! Unlike another cook who rated this recipe, I have had no trouble with the crust.

I took this pie over to our relatives house. Everyone enjoyed it. It was gone in no time. I will definately make this again. It was easy to make. I think I will try it with banana pudding next time.

TERRIBLE! It was very hard to put together and the chocolate tore up the crust. Save your time and money, stay away from this recipe!

Very good. My husband loved it, and he is a very picky eater!
