the cereal flakes make the bread too dry and crumbly. My family didn't like it, though they ate it anyway, to be polite.

i made this several times and it turned out great each time. howv, i add about 2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, and 1.5 tsp cinnamon. i also omit the cereal, and use milk instead of the water. it turns out very moist, and is a yummy breakfast item in our house!

Have made this bread several times - I think it is the best banana bread recipe I have tried.

I have made this numerous times. I have brought it to work with me and offered it to my Co-workers. I have gotten rave reviews on this.

My Husband Ate half of it as soon as it came out, He said it smelled so good that it was calling his name. Then brought the left overs to work and they also enjoyed it!

I've made this recipe twice and both times it was great. Easy to make and excellent flavor. Add an extra banana if you want it to be more moist.

I've actually made this recipe twice, but the first time I forgot to add the sugar--not a good idea. I noticed the first time that it was pretty dry, but I decided to try it again using all the ingredients! :o) It was still pretty dry, and not very sweet. It wasn't horrible, but it was like "traditional" banana bread that's moist and sweet. It's a good bread, but I don't think it's a good "banana bread".... Oh, and both times I took it out of the oven after 40 minutes or so. It could be my oven, but it would've been burned to a crisp after 55 minutes. Be sure to watch it.

I had the same problems. The bread was VERY dry and heavy. You couldn't hardly even taste the bananas. My boys (hubby and son) who will eat ANYTHING gave this a thumbs down.

I would not recommend making this recipe. I took the advice of the other reviews and added additional bananas. The bread is extremely dry and is about as heavy as a brick. Even with the additional bananas, my husband and I were surprised that there isn't really much banana taste. Please don't waste your time on this Banana Bread recipe....look for another.
