I made this for myself this morning and LOVED it! I used generic coffee but it still came out wonderful. I used skim milk which kept the coffee a bit dark but still yummy! Tastes just like coffee I would buy at a coffeehouse! After the 2nd cup I used plain coffee creamer and even yummier! Definitely worth a try!

This is how I start my mornings from the first time I tried it! My boyfriend always said my coffee was too strong...now we both enjoy it made this way!

in many restaurants in mexico city, as an after meal special treat, they serve this coffee ! i make it at home but usually i use more than 1 tsp. of cinnamon for more flavor. to each his choice . i sprinkle the cinnamon over the grinds before i start the brew. smooth and warming on a cool night !! if you are diabetic you can use sugar substitue, splenda or the blends. ENJOY !

For years, I have made this recipe, but I have always put brown sugar in the pot, as well as, the cinnamon in the filter with the grounds.

A nice compliment to banana bread or pumpkin anything. A hint I learned years ago: add a tsp. of sugar to the coffee grounds ( 10 c pot) to bring out the flavor of the bean. The sugar is too minimal to sweeten the coffee, but it enhances the flavor of the grounds.

I just happened to click one of the recipe links in my newsletter and as another recommendation I saw Viennese Coffee. Well, all ingredients were on hand so I made one pot for the next morning, then another pot for the morning after and another pot for every morning since. It is contagious. Do you have a vaccine?

Incredibly good coffee. I made it with Splenda instead of sugar and it still tasted very good.
