Add butterscotch chips to add a twist to this recipe. I always make it for potluck lunches and bake sales at work.

AWESOME! These were pretty thin though, so I would recommend making it in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan, or doubling the recipe for a 9x13. I made this for the 4th of July and it was fantastic!

I've made a recipe very similar to this. For the crust I used a 13 x 9 cake pan size box cake mix with a stick of margarine. Cut the margarine into the cake mix and press it on the bottom of the 13 x 9 cake pan. the toppings can be anything, reeces pieces, chocolate chips, m & m's. chopped walnuts, anything you have on hand. The trick is the spreading of the sweetened condensed milk. Bake it for 25 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees farenheight or until the top is golden brown. It's delicious with any toppings!!

The original recipe is called 7 layer cookies and is identical to this one except you add butterscotch chips after the chocolate chips. I sometimes use peanutbutter chips instead, but it's always a hit. Everyone wants the recipe.

This is the best cookie bar. Offers flavors for everyone!! I also add butterscotch chips to it and we think that adds a great new flavor mix.

This is our families favorite bar cookie recipe. I add butterscotch chips to it for an extra flavor surprise.
