Peanut Butter Layered Brownies

What You Need

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate

3/4

cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine

cups granulated sugar

eggs

tsp. vanilla, divided

cup flour

cup PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter (at room temperature)

cup powdered sugar

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; grease foil. Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add granulated sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and 1 tsp. of the vanilla. Stir in flour until well blended. Spread into prepared pan.

BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool in pan on wire rack.

BEAT peanut butter, powdered sugar and remaining 1 tsp. vanilla until well blended. Spread over brownie. Microwave semi-sweet chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Drizzle chocolate from spoon over peanut butter layer. Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate is firm. Remove brownie from pan, using foil handles. Cut into 36 brownies to serve.

Prepare as directed, substituting 13x9-inch baking dish for the baking pan and reducing oven temperature to 325°F.

How to Make Frosting Easier to Spread

Stir 2 Tbsp. milk into the peanut butter frosting before spreading onto brownie as directed.

We love browines at our house! This is the Peanut Butter Frosting Recipe that I use- 1/4 C Peanut Butter, 3/4 C Powder Sugar and 2 TB Milk. It is amazing!

I made these for our Superbowl party... I actually used a box brownie recipe which was fine but the peanut butter icing was horrible. In fact, it wasn't icing at all. It was more like a thick & nasty paste. I literally peeled it off of the brownies to at least salvage that much of the dessert.

I made this with a brownie mix, then just added the peanut butter frosting. The frosting was a bit stiff, but I managed. I always have a hard time with the "drizzle", but overall, turned out very well.

The brownie part came out very good , but the peanut butter mixture was very dense. I added some cool whip and then spread it on.. Came out real good.

I made these for a party and everyone loved them, I think the peanut butter topping is too soft, next time I would increase the amount of confectioners sugar!

This is such a decadent dessert! Milk is a must-have sidekick! The recipe for brownie was easy but the pb spread was way too thick. Adding some melted butter works like a charm! Everyone loved it!
