The flavor was very bland. Couldn't even tell that there was crab in the mixture. Very disappointed.

Our two kids and myself aren't crab eaters. So to us this wasn't a good recipe. However I thought I would try it because my husband LOVES crab cakes. We didn't like them but he said they were the best he had ever eaten. So I wont be making these again because the majority rules. :+)

I took another persons advice and used old bay instead of BBQ sauce. I prepared the crab balls one week in adance and instead of making patties I made 1 TBS. of balls which I froze then vaccum sealed. Fry the balls in Olive Oil and butter or just Vegetable Oil. They came out great and my family asked if I catered!

Yuck! Was a horrible recipe. Gave my family and I horrible stomachaches after eating it. Would not recommend.

To save money and time, I substitute imitation crab for the canned crab. It tastes delicious!
