This is a GREAT dessert recipe to serve during Independence Day, as well as any day during the summer-and other patriotic holiday celebrations! But I'd like to make a suggestion concerning this recipe:if you're looking to add more fruit in this recipe, add blueberries to the Berry Blue gelatin before setting it to gel, and some red fruit (example: hulled strawberries, raspberries, cherries,etc.) as well. That way, you get more nutrition in this delightfully delicious recipe! Or, you can omit the gelatin, and just put the red fruit (of your choice) and blueberries on the top and bottom of the whipped topping parfait, and it'll still look patriotic.
