Quick, easy and the kids loved them. They made more the 2nd day.
This is easy and fun. You can put a variety of toppings on this. I've done this with my family and a classroom of kids.
The kids loved helping in the kitchen and making these. I used a jar of RAGU spaghetti sauce and the cheese was already shredded. This was a fast fix and yummy. I had never heard of this recipe before. Highly recommended all parents should memorize this great treat!
Very easy, quick pizza fix. We have a lot of variety of tastes in our family so this is great. I can fix each person's just the way they want at minimial expense and effort.
It was great to see one of favorite childhood recipes that I made with Mom over 35 years ago. I still make it today when I feel like something quick and easy (so does Mom and she's 84). It's quick, easy and affordable! I still like to use the english muffin so the sauce can get into the nooks and crannies (now that's dating me!!) I don't like parmesan cheese, so I leave that out. I've also used crumbled feta or goat cheese. Very good, as well. It's good to use the toaster oven to pre-toast the bottom of the muffin, otherwise it will get soggy once the the sauce is on it if you use the oven (thanks, Mom). Keep it crunchy. Thanks for bringing it back! Now I know what's for dinner!
My mom used to make these all the time when I was younger. They're so easy.
The kids love it. My youngest son is very picky and he loved it.
great for a quick summer time lunch...the kids loved helping put it together too.
I've found that some people like more cheese and less sauce and others like more sauce and less cheese
This is quite funny, because I've made this for fifteen years! I came up with the idea in desperation one night and used what was on the shelf. Both daughters love d it, as did the 4-H judge at the county fair! Make your own sauce to save money. Use whatever meat you have leftover-cooked beef, chicken, bacon. Or add cooked veggies. Easy to make in toaster oven. Fun for parties-let guests make their own.
