What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) spice cake mix

can (15 oz.) pumpkin

cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing

eggs

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/4

cup butter, softened

Tbsp. milk

tsp. vanilla

pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar (about 4 cups)

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

BEAT first 4 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Pour into 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 32 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan.

BEAT cream cheese, butter, milk and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Gradually add sugar, beating after each addition until well blended. Spread over cooled cake.

Prepare using 15x10x1-inch pan and decreasing the baking time to 20 to 22 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Storing Cream Cheese Frosted Cakes

Cakes filled and frosted with a cream cheese icing should be stored in the refrigerator.

Everyone liked this cake, would make it again, but I used only half the box of sugar called for in the frosting and it turned out great.

Very easy to make. Very moist and delicious made this 3 days ago and it is gone. My family just loved it. I already have a request to bring this to christmas dinner. LOVED IT!!!!!!!

Made this last autumn and everyone loved it. The Miracle Whip makes it so moist and delicious. This is now my favorite pumpkin cake recipe.

Very moist, WONDERFUL !!! I love pumpkin so was sure it was a winner, some in the family -- not so much pumpkin fans -- but didnot hear one complaint !!! I also used pre-made frosting as some like, some don't, so I let them use or not. On my favorite list!!!

I LOVE this cake! The frosting is delicious, but I didn't put it on the cake for guests who aren't into frosting. Instead, I dusted the cake with powdered sugar, and served the frosting in a bowl on the side for guests to add to their piece. Everyone loved it.

VERY good! Nice & moist. Not real pumpkin-y tasting, but still a hit. I would only use about 1/2 as much frosting next time.
