Much better when you use 1 packet dry ranch mix w/the sour cream. Otherwise, as written, it's bland and lifeless. I served it with Triscuits that held up quite well to the taste and texture of the dip. Huge favorite at work and home!

Made this dip a day ahead of time for a get together with our friends. I had never made it before, but it was SO EASY. I changed it up alittle bit by adding a dry ranch dressing packet to the sour cream and adding chopped up bacon to that layer as well. Since I was not going to serve it until the next day, I did not add the lettuce and tomato until ready to serve. I bought Wheat thins and corn chips to serve with it. It was a great hit. We finished it in record time and I was told that I could make it anytime.

I love this recipe. I make it for showers and group get togethers. I use 1/4 tsp. of onion powder and add in 1/4 tsp. of garlic powder and I cook and crumble in my own bacon. It's delicious.

This dip is DELISH!!! I brought it over for Thanksgiving at my familys house. & It was gone FAST! Next time I will make 2 trays! The only thing I added differnt was instead of the onion powder. I added Ranch Dressing dip packet with the sour cream & mixed bacon pit pieces with it. So that the bottom had bacon too! & Also added real bacon on the layers as well. This is a must at party! Make sure to make extra because it will go fast! :)
