Chocolate Chunk-Banana Bread Mix

What You Need

Bread Mix

cups flour

cup sugar

cup BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks

1/2

cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/4

tsp. salt

To Bake Bread

eggs

cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)

1/3

cup oil

1/4

cup milk

Make It

BREAD MIX: Place Bread Mix ingredients in 1-gal. resealable plastic food storage bag; seal bag. Place bag in disposable 9x5-inch foil loaf pan. Place in decorative gift bag. Store at room temperature until ready to prepare bread or give as a gift.

TO BAKE BREAD: Heat oven to 350°F. Mix eggs, bananas, oil and milk in large bowl until well blended. Add Bread Mix; stir just until moistened. Spray foil loaf pan with cooking spray; fill with batter.

BAKE 55 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature.

Substitute 6 chopped BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate for the 1 cup chocolate chunks.

Fabulously moist and delicious!!! I usually don't like banana bread...but this one i did. I did leave out the nuts though. Great with coffee.

Very good bread but I used dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet and probably only used 1/2 cup of chocolate so mine was not quite as sweet as I'd like. Next time, I'd add more chocolate or perhaps add a bit of brown sugar to sweeten it up a bit. Really good, though!

So yummy! This is one of the best banana breads I've ever tasted. I love the addition of chocolate to the recipe.

This bread is delicious! It's also a great foundation recipe for other breads too, for example instead of using mashed bananas I tried it once with pureed blueberries and it was also amazing! Definitely going to experiment with this! :D

I had never used chocolate chips in banana bread before and they really added something special to this banana bread. I would definitely make this recipe again.
