Cake was delicous but chocolate chunks sank to bottom and after putting on minttopping the cake sank in middle. Will make it again but use chocolat frosting instead of mints.

I made this last night after reading the reviews for tips and hints. I watched the time so as not to overcook the cake. I could not find thin mints so used two peppermint Ritter Sports. Worked perfectly as the icing. I also used the mini chocolate chips as another suggested and was delicious! The green color was great for St. Patty's Day!

I made this for guests, and they all said it was the best cake they had ever eaten. They practically begged me for some to take home, after they ate two servings!

I have made this every year and love it. I have found that using the mini chocolate chips opposed to regular sized chocolate chips works better and they don't sink. I have also made it using regular chocolate frosting and it was very good as well.
