Chocolate Bliss Cheesecake

It starts with an Oreo Cookie crust and just keeps getting better, with whipped chocolate-cheesecake goodness in every bite. High-five, cheesecake lovers.

What You Need

OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 1-1/2 cups)

Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

3/4

cup sugar

tsp. vanilla

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted, cooled slightly

Make It

HEAT oven to 325°F.

step 1

MIX cookie crumbs and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.

step 2

BEAT cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with mixer until blended. Add chocolate; mix well.

step 3

ADD eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each just until blended; pour over crust.

step 4

BAKE 55 min. to 1 hour or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate 4 hours.

WOW, made for dinner party on 2/11 and was HUGE hit. I drizzled caramel (ice cream topping) and pecans on top. Folks were passing out in ecstasy!

excellent recipe... it tastes great! it looked nothing like the picture though. you will definitely need some major food coloring if you're going for the reddish color. cocoa powder did not cut it. but we all got past the looks really fast when we tasted it. yum yum!

Bitter-sweet!! Not the flavor we were expecting - I double checked the amount of sugar. Simple recipe to make though.

Excellent and very simple to make. My daughter-in-law and I used Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate. It was very chocolately, the cake performed well and I would make it again to show your appreciation for those you love!

Followed this recipe to a T and it was a superb cheesecake. I used a raspberry puree to glaze the top and viola! It was as pretty as it was delicious.

I made this recipe over the weekend, I ended up using Chocolate stuffed Oreo's for the crust; when I made the cheesecake, it ended up falling in the center, like someone else had said theirs did, and the crust was kind of hard and came apart from the filling when cutting into it to get a bite, plus it was hard to try to cut a slice too. Once you were able to get a slice cut and a bite eatten, it was really good, but I was disappointed that it fell in the center and didn't look like the picture at all. I sprinkled the cocoa and heart-shape with the powdered sugar on it just like the picture too. Could anyone tell me what happened to the crust and the falling, please? I figure I will try to make the recipe again to see if it does happen again because the flavor and everything was real good. Thank You!! :)

This recipe was very bland to me. I would suggest double stuffed Oreos or more butter for the crust-mine was crumbling apart. Additionally, I felt that the bakers chocolate gave more of a cocoa taste instead of chocolately taste-I would use pure chocolate instead. Also, when cooking, the cake puffed up very high and after taking it out of the oven, I had a large valley in my cake-nothing like the picture. I did not really find this recipe that chocolately or blissful!
