Coconut Fried Shrimp

Coconut Fried Shrimp recipe
Can do the same thing with chicken as well, which is a great alternative to a guest with shellfish allergies. I made both and the reviews were - yum!

i made this recipe..the coconut mixture was sometimes hard to stick to the shrimp, so i butterflied the shrimp and kinda stuffed the coconut mixture into the shrimp. My boyfriend and i loved the recipe though, we just needed some kinda of sweet dipping sauce. A++ very good

I was very disappointed ...I love coc.shrimp but this was tasteless ! It needs seasonings or something to spice it up but I don't know what ?! The recipe should be revamped to include a tastier version. No coconut taste - very bland. Too bad.

I bought shrimp (21-25 count) that was already cleaned and deveined. Living in Las Vegas I was surprised by the quality of the Albertsons shrimp. After coating, I fried them in my little fryer with peanut oil. They were so much better than the ones you get from a restaraunt. Too bad, the orange dipping sauce was yucky.

I made this recently with a friend who loves coconut shrimp in restaurants. She ooh'ed and ah'ed and absolutely loved them. The hardest part is deveining the shrimp. She dipped them in orange marmalade. I liked them better plain.

I would definitely prepare this again however I had a hard time getting the coconut to stick to the shrimp alot of it just fell off when frying and it needed more seasoning. It was still good however.

This barely had any taste! I was very disappointed. (Red Lobster's is 100 times better).
