Double the sugar to be able to spread the butter and sugar mixture and to keep it from going through to the foil. Just using 1/2 cup of sugar leaves it too soupy. That makes peeling off the foil later very difficult.

After reading the reviews I made this for the first time. I doubled the butter sugar and I think it was a mistake. I'm going to try it again but maybe use less crackers and NOT double the butter/sugar. I don't think it set up correctly.

Delicious. My only suggestion is to have the chocolate chopped and the walnuts toasted prior to preparing the margarine and packed brown sugar. Otherwise the mixture may burn in the oven while waiting for the chocolate/nut topping to be done.

This is very good I would make more of the coating next time or reduces my pan size. Great with a cup of coffee.
