This is a great treat. Try other topping, like coconut and heath toffee bits. I did and everyone went crazy.

I have made this recipe multiple times and plan on making many more. If you have a sweet tooth, this will satisfy you. You can't just eat one. I have passed the recipe onto friends and they have enjoyed it also. My children love the crunch bars.

What a surprise, dessert with Saltines! Warning, don't leave in oven a full 7 minutes, for my oven 3 minutes was the limit before the sugar started to burn and then you have a stinky wasted bunch of crackers. I will try adding toffee and M&M's instead of nuts for my kids. I also am going to double the sugar/butter mix for thicker "toffee"...yummo!

This treat is so easy and fast to make! My family and friends request these bars all the time and my husband says he'd be fine with them always being available.

the saltines ran all over the pan, and the sauce burned completely. I didn't even leave it alone long enough to burn completely the way it did. Wouldn't make this again...still waiting for the smoke to clear.
