A good recipe to start with, but I changed a couple of things to suit the taste and needs of my family. I substituted brown sugar for half of the white sugar, add 1 tsp of vanilla, and substututed cinnamon flavored applesauce for the eggs(my son is allergic to eggs). One time I didn't have apples int the house and used apple pie filling, just rinsed off the sauce and drained, then chopped. Takes about 10 extra minutes to bake with the applesauce and pie filling, but just as good. Everyone in my office loves this cake and has begged for the recipe.
