Best. Mashed Potatoes. Ever. But then, considering cream cheese and fresh garlic are involved, it's really an unfair competition.

This is an excellent mashed potato recipe. I did add extra garlic cloves and less cream cheese the second time as we love galic and the original recipe is a very mild garlic flavor.

My Hubby (who is a manager at a restaurant) kept commenting on how WHITE they were... ROFL... I asked for feedback and that is what I got! When I told him they were made with Cream Cheese he said "their good" (a man of little words). But was even more amazed that I made Potatoes from SCRATCH and that they tasted this good! I used red potatoes and left the skin on. I also added garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a rosemary seasoning blend when I added the cream cheese and butter. Def a keeper!

These were the best mashed potatoes. I agree with other cooks about it not being garlicky enough. So I added garlic powder. I also needed more salt too but the consistency was perfect. My kids even had thirds. I'm definitely making these again.

It wasn't garlicy enough for our taste.

This was awsome at my family's holiday dinner. I had no left-overs. But I didn't add the garlic and used a package of ranch dressing mix instead. Still very good.

For a husband that doesn't like mashed potatoes he ate most of the 2 1/2 lbs. that I made. I took the suggestion and added chives and some pepper and they were excellent and even the second they were great.
