Outstanding. I've made it for decades, way back when we actually cooked the bacon & broke it into bits! We don't like ranch, so have always used the light italian or raspberry.

I also have made this for years using the raspberry vinegrette but I also put sliced toasted almonds and dried cranberries in this. Some Parmesean would be good too.

I have been making this recipe for many years, but using peeled navel oranges. I also use avacadoes (in season), raisins and slivered almonds. Either ranch or the rasberry vinagrette are very good on the salad.

I've been making a version of this salad for years, but use raspberry-vinegrette dressing. It's always a big hit. Nice and tangy.

I used lightly toasted sliced almonds and raspberry vinigarette dressing, much lighter than using ranch dressing.

I made it without the bacon bits. It was definitely a change. Add some sunflower seeds for more punch.

I prepared this as part of a celebration dinner and thought it was great, with a few changes. I added toasted walnuts, crumbled bleu cheese, and used a raspberry vinaigrette. Everyone loved it!

I used a spinach salad dressing and added glazed walnuts, sweet but very good.

Hi, I just wanted to say that a few years ago I was at a restaurant here in Conn. when I had a delicious salad that was almost the same as this spinach salad. It had the mandarin sections, but also had almonds and the dressing was out of this world. They wouldn't tell me at the restaurant, but it seemed like a light vinegar based dressing, with an orange bacon flavor. I wish I knew exactly what was in it. I think they called the salad mandarin almond.
