What You Need

cups flour

1/2

cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar, divided

Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/2

tsp. salt

3/4

cup (1-1/2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces

3/4

cup plus 2 Tbsp. milk, divided

egg, lightly beaten

Tbsp. grated lemon zest

cup blueberries

1-1/2

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate (6 oz.), chopped

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Mix flour, 1/2 cup of the sugar, the baking powder and salt in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add 3/4 cup of the milk, the egg and lemon peel; stir just until mixture forms dough. Stir in blueberries and chocolate chunks.

DIVIDE dough in half. On lightly floured surface, pat each half into a round, 9 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. Cut each round into 8 wedges. Place wedges on ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with remaining 2 Tbsp. milk; sprinkle with remaining 2 Tbsp. sugar.

BAKE 25 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Very moist, I used white chocolate chips instead of the baking chocolate. Fabulous. We're eating them 2-3 days later and they're still moist and taste great.

These were wonderful! I used blackberries instead of blueberries, but they were SO delicious and moist!

I did this with a group of girls for my cooking club, and it was incredibly easy and fun. A great hands on recipe that has a great finish that will definetly leave your kids and then some having more. I had seven girls in my cooking club leave the kitchen with scones, and then I had 20 more boys and girls asking if they could help make some more or if they could have the extras.

I do not have very good luck with making scones, they always turn out too dry. These tasted great but for me too dry. I'm starting to think it's my baking & not the recipe :)

Too much liquid, plan to use less milk, otherwise they are delicious!

The recipe didn't call for enough flour... after adding the milk, it was a very sticky dough. I added more flour, but the end result was a bad aftertaste.
