I would wonder with so many people complaining of the too much mustart, that maybe it was a misprint & should have been 2 tsps instead of TBLS
I LOVE green beans and can usually eat them until I'm blue in the face. However, I could barely stomach these. If you dare try these, I'd definately decrease the amount of mustard quite significantly. The ONLY thing that save these for a 1 star rating was the almonds.
This was not at all what i was expecting,, it had an almost bitter, sharp taste that did not compliment the beans. Move on to the next one!!
I was really surprised by this recipe. I wanted something to "spice up" my normal, plain green beans. I gave this a try, thinking it wouldn't be all that great, but it was. It tasted yummy and had just what I was looking for to make the boring plain green beans livlier. I will say that the next day they did have too much flavor. Very mustardy the next day. Perhaps eat them all one night or cut the amount of sauce in half if you know you are going to have leftovers.
After making it just once, it became a staple for us. We love the taste combination and crispiness of the beans. This is truly a great option!
way too sour
This is a liked by the whole family! I usually have all the ingredients on hand, and therefore no need to go to the grocery store at the last minute. It's also easy to prepare and doesn't take long to make.
These were great and could compliment many different types of meals as a side dish. I used frozen green beans and cooked them on low for a few minutes to thaw them. I also added some chopped onion and some crumbled bacon during cooking. My husband and I both liked it very much and I will make this again!
I, too, liked the "al dente" texture to the beans. I was just about to boil them, but decided at the last minute to look here for a different idea. Glad I did ... it was a hit.
great side dish for any meal. i have made this recipe several times and there are never any left overs.
