I thought that it was very cute for the children. It was the biggest hit of a family cookout. Everyone kept asking me for the recipe.

i made this to bring to a pool party, and everybody loved it. first i amde a yellow cake and on the box it gave a lower-fat recipe, so i used that. i don't think i let it cook all the way and it fell apart. i then made a white cake, still using the lower-fat recipe, and it had a few cracks and didn't come out totally clean, but it was fine because it was to be frosted. i let the jello set too long, but it looked like waves when i put it in because it broke apart! it looked really great. i also didn't use cool-whip because in the past i have and the cool-whip just dripped right off. i used regular vanilla-whipped frosting. so awesome!

I love this recipe.. it was very fun and easy to make. The only suggestion I have is to make the Jell-o without the tip for a quick set.. I tried the adding the ice cubes way and the Jell-o didn't set enough. Also, if your planning on eating the whole cake and not just making it for looks, don't add the whole swimming pool idea. It leaves the gummys and teddy grahams mushy. But great idea! Thanks Kraft

I enjoyed making this cake for my sons pre school class. Another idea I had was instead of a pool - you could also make a river and use an applesauce cake mix as the ground. And use colored cool whip as bushes chocolate licorice as logs floating or up on the banks.
