For those of you who described this dish as "missing something" or bland try this--after cutting pork loin into chunks sprinkle it with some jerk seasoning (its Jamacian). This seasoning works best done the night before. Use alot if you like it spicy. I also used 1/2 cup of BBQ instead of 1/4c and I used long grain rice prepared seperately and omitted the can of water. It was delicious!

A great dish! A filling meal that couldn't get any easier. Made a few changes, we like hot so I added a littled crused red pepper, some garlic and swapped scallion for green pepper. We will definately make it again.

Liked it better with when I used regular long grain rice

I was very disappointed. This had no flavor at all. I wish I'd looked at the other comments before making it. I agree with some others that the rice wasn't cooked all the way and the dish had no flavor. We actually threw it out after tasting it.

This is an awesome recipe, I love a sweet chinese type dish. This is one of my very favorites! Yum,Yum. I also added more barbecue sauce and used chicken sometimes. My favorite was the pork tenderloin! My family loved it. There wasn't much left over.

I thought that the pork need a little more flavor, but overall it was a very good recipe.

My husband said he loved it, and he doesn't say that often about my cooking. I will probably try it again, but not so much ginger. It is not my favorite flavor. Overall, very good.
