This blend of ingredients makes a great dish. Double the BBQ sauce to add a little more kick.
excellent hot or as a cold salad. it is a great hit at the potlucks at work.
I tweeked this one a lot just for the simple fact I read all of the other comments first. I used chicken and hawaiian marinade instead of BBQ sauce. I used the whole bottle instead of 1/4 cup and a used a whole heck of a lot more garlic and ginger. I made the rice seperate and put in 2 chicken bullion cubes in it while cooking. This recipe was a huge hit and it made the house smell amazing! I will do this again and again!
Amazing! Everyone loved it! Very easy to make & a easy way to get lots of veggies! We tried it with teriakyi sauce instead of BBQ & it worked great.
I used chicken breast sliced thin. I used not oil to saute the chicken instead, used some of the juice off the pineapple chunks.. I also waited until last to add the green pepper (so it could steam and not turn to mush). I have also included water chestnuts in the family loves it
I thought this recipe wasn't bad. I used recommendations from other comments about using pineapple juice instead of water. I thought it turned out quite sweet, but I may try it again using water instead.
Ummmm...YUM!!! I decided to follow the lady's advice who "tweeked" the recipe. I only had 1-8 oz can of, I used all of it, plus the juice. I omited all of the water. I used 1/2C. of the bbq sauce plus when it was simmering, I drizzled some more on top. I used 1 1/4 tsp of ginger. This was great!! LOVED IT!
I tweeked this a little by using 1/3 c bar b que and the juice from the pineapple instead of water, 1 1/4 tsp ginger also. Make the rice seperate. Great five yr old and 2 yr old even ate it!!!! Will be making this again.
Very quick and very easy. I think the dish needs a little more flavor though - maybe add some hot sauce or some extra barbeque sauce.
my fiance and i are always up to try new food and we thought that this looked delicious! this recipie is worth trying! i would reccomend making the rice seperate. next time i'm going to try it with beef instead of pork and over noodles instead of rice. kudos for the great recipie
