Old-Fashioned Ice Box Dessert

This is my favorite dessert to make in the summer! It's very refreshing. It is always a hit at parties we go to. It actually brings back memories for some people that had it when they were younger!

this dessert sounds great. i want to try it for a memorial day bbq. how would you make a graham cracker crust for it? how much graham crackers crumbs and butter would you use? and would you bake the crust first or just refrigerate it before adding the topping? any suggestions would be great. thanks!

This was an awesome product. I am in a high school Foods class, and my group made this for our final and was graded by a member of the staff that we selected. None of us really like coconut, but it added an amazing flavor and we couldn't eat it without it. Our entire class couldn't stop eating it, and soon the whole pan was gone. We got a 100% on our final, and the only thing that I would change were I to do it again is that I would make a real graham cracker crust instead of just using the crackers.

my mom used to make this years ago, i thought she invented it. she also use to make it with lemon curd. i am going to make it now, im sure it will be yummy!

I loved this recipe it was very yummy. only thing I would change is instead of just putting the graham crackers on the bottom I would make a graham craker crust, because the graham crackers go soggy really fast.
