Whipped Sweet Potato Bake

This dish was good but very very sweet. My family ate it for dessert instead. I don't think it makes a good side dish, it should be a dessert.

I have made this recipe for years & my family & friends love it, however I use yams & put 1/2 the whipped potatoes in a pie dish , then add the minature marshmallows, top with the rest of the potatoes & they just melt into the potatoes with out the worry of them getting too brown as in the way you described by adding on top. Also I add 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar. The first time I made these my eldest son commented 'before' eating that I ruined his potatoes by preparing them in this manner. He after tasting them could not get enough of them & expects them now as part of our regular Thanksgiving & Christmas meal. :)

I feel it needs some brown sugar,as I have always made Sweet Potatoes but have always added some brown sugar... thanks!

Very easy to make and delicious! You won't be disappointed! Perfect side dish for chicken, turkey, or even pork!

Excellent with Ham dinner

I made this with mini marshmellows and the children especially like it. Very good addition to my Christmas dinner.
