Easy Caramel Sticky Buns

Refrigerated crescent dough is topped with sugar, cinnamon, pecans and raisins, rolled up, sliced and baked in gooey caramel for a breakfast treat.

What You Need

KRAFT Caramels

Tbsp. milk

3/4

cup PLANTERS Pecan Halves, chopped, divided

pkg. (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

1/4

cup sugar

tsp. ground cinnamon

Tbsp. raisins

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Microwave caramels and milk in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute. Pour into well-greased 8-inch round pan; top with 1/2 cup nuts.

UNROLL crescent roll dough; separate into 2 rectangles. Press perforations in each rectangle together to seal. Mix remaining nuts, sugar, cinnamon and raisins; sprinkle over dough rectangles. Roll up each rectangle, jelly-roll fashion, starting at one short end; cut each into 4 slices. Place, cut-sides down, in prepared pan. (Sprinkle with any sugar mixture that may have fallen out of rolls.)

BAKE 17 to 20 min. or until lightly browned. Immediately invert pan onto plate; remove pan. Spread any caramel from pan over buns. Cool slightly.

Substitute dried cranberries for the raisins.

Very delicious but must be kept an eye on to not only prevent the top from burning but to make sure that the middle buns are cooked thoroughly as well. Warning: THEY'RE ADDICTING! Enjoy! ;)

I cooked this recipe for easter morning breakfast. My husband helped me because he is better working with dough than I am or atleast faster with it. It was very good. I love caramel with anything that is a desert. My family liked it.

I made these into cinnamon rolls instead - VERY GOOD! I used melted butter on the crescent roll rectangles and then sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on and proceeded with the remaining directions. VERY GOOD! Keep an eye on them though, they do tend to burn! Then just use a powder sugar icing to complete! YUM YUM!!

One word... YUM!!! Double the recipe, as this doesn't make much.... one is not enough!

Just like the recipe indicates...EASY! I make this as a treat for breakfast every time we have guests and they always ask for seconds!

The stickyness of the buns was just right. They even reheated well, to be served warm. Thank you It was great Christmas morning.
