Simple but delicious!

I also add 8 oz. of salsa to this recipe. Instead of microwaving it, I cook it in a Crock Pot. Very easy and always popular at parties.

I was not impressed at all. I will try this again, but it definitely needs something more....

This was my Daddy's favorite recipe - He passed away 3 yrs ago today on his 91st birthday. He looked for this dip at every event !

It was just ok...not the best chili cheese dip I have ever had. Velvetta makes things set up like a rock :(

My version of this recipe is with ground beef, refried beans chipolte seasoning , and salsa with the velveeta. It always disappears. Posted by:smag on 12/29/10

my family has made this dip for as long as i can remember, but we add jalapeno relish -- when we can find it -- or just some spicy picante sauce. SOOOO good. very good dip. Growing up, whatever social function / party i was to go to, everyone knew i would be bringing our cheese dip - its wonderful!

I have not made this particular recipe, the one I make is velveeta, chili and rotel peppers (I just use salsa). It goes great with chips but I also like to make it when I make pigs in a blanket. It's a great dip for them.

I couldn't get the Velveeta to melt like it used to melt. I was very disappointed. Everyone loved my "queso" dip that I would serve for all types of functions. I always added a can of "Rotel" and knew that there would be nothing left of my "queso". Now after my last few experiences of having the Velveeta not melt, I stopped making this dish. Very sad. I hope Kraft reconsiders having changed their Velveeta formula...
