Add an egg white that has been whipped to the mixture before baking. Helps to hold it together better.

Has anyone else had trouble with these just falling apart after they are baked? Has anyone noticed if the humidity level played a part in baking these ? We've done these for 3 years and this is the first year that we had this issue, in the past they were wonderful.

Following the recipe and baking directions exactly, I found these macaroons very difficult to remove without breaking apart. Sticky, gooey, and difficult to handle. Maybe a little flour added would have helped.

They are quick and very good, but they turned out more like candy - gooey!

This is one of the easiest recipes going. I also add sliced maraschino cherries before baking.

...this is our 'house recipe' for holidays! The rest of the year we make them 'by request' which is often!!! I have added an almond and drizzled melted chocolate over the top at times. The combination of the two types looks very nice when they are on the same dessert plate. Nancy
