This is something my family and friends have me make every Sunday. I did this recipe with a 7 pound Roaster, two boxes of the Turkey Stove Top! It's great with chopped celery, walnuts and apples. It's like having Thanksgiving every Sunday.
This turkey was so good and moist and juicy, the sesonings was popping all in my mouth from the beginning to the end. I cant wait to cook this again, I cant stop eating the turkey it was so Awesome!
my family is very picky but they loved roasted chicken with dressing
The family LOVED it!
If I can find another recipe for stuffing I would use it. Overall the chicken rocked!
SOOOO GOOD!! i made this for my boyfriend a few days after thanksgiving, and even though it was still poultry he LOVED it! the stuffing was nice and moist and the tender. *we had so much left over that we make chicken quesidillas--YUM!*
In making this recipe, the only thing I changed was the thyme to rosemary. I had fresh rosemary in the garden. I clipped off some sprigs, slit open just the skin of the chicken and stuffed the sprigs inside the chicken. Yummmm!
I made the recipe, it is very good and easy, However, The next time I made it I added my own touch. Instead of thyme, I poured a little melted butter over & in the chicken, then I sprinkled it with McCormick original chicken seasoning. & some pepper. When I mixed my dressing. I used 1 1/4 cups of chicken broth instead of the water . Then I added one more can of broth and poured in bottom of pan. I also added several Red potatoes, A sweet onion, ( All quarted ), & Some carrots ( Large chuncks). When the chicken is done I will use some of the broth for a gravy, The rest I will freeze for later use in a soup. Thanks Affie
Very excellent chicken that I made for dinner guests and my wife. They all said how great it was and I thought it was very good.
easy to make, theonly thing i did different was cook it in a bag easierfor clean up.
