I would add a little more onion. also would add a touch of green chili, and a small red pepper sauted all together and then add that to the cooked hamburger....

This was great! I did leave out the nutmeg because I didn't have on hand, and I added some diced tomato to the meat. My 2yr ate it up as well. Will make again!

I loved this recipe, my only problem was the egg topping. I could not figure out if I liked it or not. I will definitely make this again, but will probably omit the egg mixture on top and just add a layer of cheddar cheese instead. But I loved the cinnamon and nutmeg in the meat mixture. It was very different and very tasty.

It was a very tasty meal, however, I think I should have cooked it longer. The topping came out kind of like a piece of french toast that wasn't totally cooked. I did keep it in there for 45 minutes but maybe an hour next time.

We did not like the nutmeg and cinnamon with the ground beef. The macaroni topping was great.

I left out the nutmeg and cinnamon, put in the basil and it still tasted great! You may be able to add another of each the egg, margerine and flour because the egg topping is great!

It was very good. I made it for some friends of ours who enjoyed it as well. My 2-year old daughter even enjoyed it!

A good casserole recipe and very tasty. I did tweak it a little. on top of mac and cheese, instead of just pouring the hot mixture of egg and butter and flour, i put a little more ground beef layered on it and some spaghetti sauce THEN the hot mixture. I also added some fried french onion things which added a nice crisp to it. Very delicious! and very filling.
