This frosting is light and delicious. It's perfect paired with chocolate cake and makes for a not-too-sweet finishing touch.

About 15 years ago my boss would always make her employees a cake on their birthday. The very 1st time I had tried her cake I had fallen in love with the frosting and have made nothing else since. Even now i make it for friends and My Sons and My Daughter co-workers, (because they request it!!) We all LOVE IT !!!! =)

I made this recipe and my husband liked it. It was just right, not to pudding flavor or not too cool whip flavor. I was not to sweet, but had just the right amount of sugar in it. I did not have milk so I used one cup of liquid whipping cream and beat it with the powdered sugar and dry pudding on high for 2 minutes. I also used an extra 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. The great thing about this pudding frosting is you can change the flavor of the frosting by using any flavor of dry pudding. I used regular instant pudding and not diet. I especially liked this frosting because a nice change from the traditional butter cream/and or cream cheese frosting or canned frosting.

For years, a friend of mine has been making the best cake, with the most wonderful, to die for, light frosting that we've ever had. Finally, at a luncheon yesterday, her secret to this great cake and frosting were revealed!!!! I love cool whip and have used many recipes containing cool whip. I don't know how this recipe got by me for so long!!! It's wonderful, wonderful!!!

This was good for anyone that wants a "light" frosting. I used sugar free/ fat free chocolate fudge pudding and Light Cool Whip. I think this would be great on an angel food cake. It really just tastes like chocolate cool whip.

Great frosting! I used fat-free cool whip with cream of coconut pudding to frost a pineapple angel food cake. Absolutely delicious, quick, and easy to make.

DELICIOUS!! This frosting definetly lives up to its name as it is very fluffy not to mention very tasty! I wanted to eat it all up with a spoon! It's not too sweet or overpowering and its very easy to spread on the cake. I will definetly be making this again!

It was my turn to bring the birthday cake at work and, not wanting to spend the customary $18 for the group favorite from the bakery that only gets 1/2 eaten, I found this frosting recipe. The entire cake disappeared within minutes. The frosting is so good (and easy). It is not too sweet and even when I mess up the cake, the frosting saves it. I have been asked to bring my cakes for every celebration since. I have tried different flavors. The best ones are chocolate and pistacchio.

I made this recipe for cupcakes for my son's birthday party. I used just a half of a tub of Cool Whip, using a whole tub made the color too light and the taste wasn't chocolatey enough. I did not much care for it, but I did get a few comments that the frosting on the cupcakes was delicious by some of the other people at the party. Next time I make it, I am going to try using Chocolate Cool Whip in place of regular Cool Whip!!
