Made this for a Birthday Party. Everyone loved it and it turned out gorgeous. I didn't love it myself, but I enjoyed it. It got rave reviews from the family and I was very proud to serve it. So easy to make and looked picture perfect. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

for once the family said it was almost too sweet for the size pieces they wanted. We really liked it.

Love this recipe! I altered it a little...I used the Jif yellow cake recipe, but I make the bottom layer chocolate then make the cheesecake layer and cover with chocolate frosting and place another yellow layer of top and cover entire cake with frosting. It makes a tall excellent looking cake, I also place strawberries around the outside.

They don't make a 1 layer size cake mix so what I did was use a regular yellow cake mix and used about 1 1/2 cups of the batter for the bottom of the cheesecake. It does cook in 20 minutes with that amount. Also, to change it up a bit, I used red velvet cake mix (only 1 1/2 cups of the batter) and followed the recipe as directed except omitted the chocolate topping and used cream cheese frosting stirred with 1/4 hot water for the top. It was a HIT!!!!

The cake makes a great crust for the cheesecake and the chocolate topping really makes it special! I used the whole cup of cream and added more chocolate to make extra chocolate sauce as it is our favorite part.

This needs to be updated! I followed the recipe and the yellow cake was not done. Who would have known by reading the recipe that it should have been cooked through. I was thinking it will cook more in the cheesecake stage. What a waste of money.

Love this one! I had to do a lot of things everyone suggested. Just take you time with it. My family and friends are big fans of this when I make it.

It was pretty good but not really my fav. I perfer regular cheesecakes than this one. But everyone did like it and it looked pretty. It actually tasted like a boston cream cake not like a cheesecake. I'm more of a cheesecake person than reg cakes.

The recipe calls for a one-layer cake mix. I used a two-layer mix and I had to use a larger pan and bake it longer(40 minutes). Everyone loved it but I thought the cake was tough(probably because I overbaked it). I will definitely make this again and use the correct cake mix. Then I would probably give it 5 stars
