Double baking a cake tends to make the bottom of the cake very tough. Perhaps you should line the bottom of the cake pan. It was difficult to know what "bake until the cheese layer is almost set". What exactly does that mean? I overcooked mine because I wasn't sure when to take it out. However, it was a hit with our newcomer's group.

This is definately one of the creamiest cheesecakes that I have ever made. This is a real winner as a gift also. I highly recommend you try this one.

Make sure you don't use fat free cream cheese. I tried it and it came out awful and I had to throw it out. I made it with regular cheese the second time and it worked perfectly.

I love this so much, I've already made it twice. One suggestion, the recipe does not explain that the bottom cake layer should be baked completely. First time I made it, I took it out of the oven using the time listed in recipe. Cake was not quite baked. Second time, I made sure bottom layer was completely baked and it was much better. Choc layer on top is delicious. Everyone loves it!!!

you can taste very sinful calorie and not care, because it is to die for.

This is the most wonderful cheesecake in the world. I made it for a party and it was a hit! If you're making it for the first time it does take longer than 45 minutes, but it's well worth it. As suggested in the other comment--bake the yellow cake mix 10 minutes longer. Enjoy!

This is awesome!! I will definatley make this again, and again, and again.....thought i would add on go ahead and use a regular cake mix, use a 10in springform and just bake it for ten minutes longer, cool completely and put in fridge for about an hour, then finish it up, it is fantastic, everyone tells me i should open a bakery!!
