What You Need

1/2

cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce, divided

lb. ground beef

KRAFT Singles

kaiser rolls, split, toasted

lettuce leaves

tomato, cut into 4 slices

slices cooked OSCAR MAYER Bacon, broken in half

Make It

HEAT broiler.

RESERVE 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Shape meat into 4 patties.

BROIL, 4 to 6 inches from heat, 7 to 9 min. on each side or until done (160°F), brushing occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce. Top with Singles. Broil 1 min. or until Singles begin to melt.

FILL rolls with lettuce, tomatoes, burgers, reserved sauce and bacon.

Variation

Prepare using thawed frozen LOUIS RICH Pure Ground Turkey and KRAFT 2% Milk Singles.

Use Your Grill

To grill meat patties instead of broiling them, heat grill to medium heat. Reserve 1/4 cup barbecue sauce for later use. Grill patties 7 to 9 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), turning and brushing occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce the last few minutes. Top with Singles; grill 1 min. or until Singles begin to melt. Continue as directed.

Substitute

Substitute 1/4 lb. (4 oz.) VELVEETA®, cut into 4 slices, or KRAFT DELI DELUXE Cheese Slices for the Singles.

this was good but i didnt have a broiling pan so i used a frying pan.

Awesome! Best burgers I've made. I also seasoned the patties with a bit of Garlic powder, salt and pepper before grilling.

I really wasn't too impressed with this recipe. It lacked a lot of flavor and I think I will use the bbq sauce for chicken or pork, there's just something about bbq sauce on burgers, it just doesn't go.

Don't mix BBQ sauce with meat. Brush 1/4 cup of sauce over burgers as they're cooking, then use other 1/4 cup to drizzle over burgers once assembled.

The Instructions do not tell you to mix the BBQ sauce into the meat, is that what you do?
