I made this last night using a light, lavender-vanilla cake recipe I made when I lived in France.....it's been two years since I moved, but this cake brought back so many memories....I used a wine-infused cream to make the ears for my husband and I, and a strong lavender-butter one for the rest of the cake. Decorated it with a chocolate beret and sugar-spun scarf. Adorable.....but by the end, the face of the cake looked like a posh Frenchie. But that's why I loved this recipe, you can do anything with it.
