The cheese mixed into the potatos instead of just on top is key. And who doesn't enjoy a little sour cream? Definetly tastey.

I think it would be nice if you put down how long to cook this once made, I had to guess. I also love to know make ahead tips for receipes and re-heating tips.

I made this recipe as a side dish and it came out real chessy. I rate it 4 stars. gump6 10-10-2007

Very easy "fancy" mashed potatoes. I cooked the potatoes in the microwave first, rather than using pre-packaged potatoes. Very little prep work with family-pleasing results.

My family loved it. My husband said it tastes like a stuffed baked potato and I agree. I did use low-fat sour cream and 2% Milk cheese, but my husband did not know the difference. It made it 4 points per serving instead of 5 points for weight watchers.

Nice flavor. Even the kids, who aren't mashed potato fans liked it. Nice complement to roast.

I made this but substituted non-fat plain yogurt for the sour cream and low-fat parmesan cheese instead of cheddar.
