Hot Bacon Cheese Spread

I make this recipe in a lot of small bread(size of a hamburger bread) and I can serve this for appetizers. It's always a number 1.

What You Need

loaf (16 oz.) round Italian bread

slices OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled

pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Colby & Monterey Jack Cheeses

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

cup KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise

small onion, finely chopped

clove garlic, minced

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Cut lengthwise slice from top of bread loaf. Remove center, leaving 1-inch-thick shell. Cut removed bread into bite-sized peices; set aside.

MIX remaining ingredients until well blended. Spoon into bread shell; cover with top of bread. Wrap in foil. Place on baking sheet.

BAKE 15 to 20 or until filling is heated through. Serve with the reserved bread pieces and assorted NABISCO Crackers.

Replace top of bread loaf and refrigerate any remaining cheese spread in the bread shell. To reheat, microwave bread shell and cheese spread on HIGH 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese spread is heated through, stirring once.

I loved this Spread. It was easy to prepare and when clean up came, it was all gone but the crust of the bread. I would recommend this recipe to everyone. I have given out copies to everyone who tried it.

I found this recipe in a little mini cookbook for Superbowl recipes. It was easy to make and went over better than anything!!

I had this spread at a recent jewelry party and it was such a hit that everyone wanted the recipe instead of looking at the jewelry. The kitchen was crowded.

I have made this particular recipe for over 6 years now, either for holiday parties , or, like tonight for a special gift for someone special. I have had to copy the recipe so many times for friends who 'just have to have it'. It has even been sent to Kuwait. It's really very easy and it always gets raved about. This is a keeper
