This is soooo yummy and soooo easy to make! I made it for a family get-together today and everyone loved it----even my 2 year old! I made it with low fat Cool Whip and skim milk and you'd never know it. I also increased the pumpkin pie spice to just shy of 2 tsp which gave it a nice spiciness. Also great layered with crushed ginger snaps in parfait dishes.

This is an awesome dessert!Very easy to make fat free! Try using 1 pkg of white chocolate instant pudding or butterscotch pudding along with the one pkg of vanilla. Good even without the nuts!

This replaces the traditional Thanksgiving pumkin pie in my family, since so many of the members must now watch their fat intake. It is very rich, so I wouldn't make the individual servings too large.

I made one recipe for Thanksgiving .......my family enjoyed it so much and ate it up so fast that I had to make a double recipe the next day. Because we do not care for real sweet deserts I just sprinkled the pecans on the top.

This recipee is so good that when I gave my mother some for desert, she didn't think she would like it and she is a 'very fussy eater' but she loves it and is always asking me when I am going to make more and that I should not forget to give her some. I think it tastes terrific too. This 'extra insulation' on me doesn't come from eating junk - it comes from eating good food like yours. Denny. KA3NBO1@excite.com

I reduced the fat and calories by using fat free milk, fat free/sugar free pudding and fat free cool whip. It was a great low fat dessert!
