The meatballs did not want to stay inside the taco shells. When I tried to make the meatballs smaller all the taco was then filled with was lettuce.

If you tell kid that your making tacos for supper they might say yummy.(ya.. yummy) Once you put it on the table and see eyeballs on the food the just might get scared. I'm not saying its a bad idea I'm just say it might scare the kid.

This recipe was a good one to use for Halloween because of the way it was presented ... all these eyeballs looking up at you! But I wouldn't do it again and try to transport it in a car. I crunched up sheets of foil inside of a large jellyroll pan to keep the tacos upright so the 'eyeballs' didn't roll out. One shortcut I made in this recipe was using pre-cooked frozen meatballs and spicing them up a little with some Mexican hot sauce splashed on them in a bowl and gently stirred - then allowed to thaw. I heated mine in a crockpot on low for 2 to 3 hours. Also added some leafy lettuce to the taco shells which helped present the tacos better. The party-goers loved them and appreciated the creativity. Thanks.
