I have a mixed review on these cookies. I made them with the semi-sweet chocolate, I still think they are a bit bland, however, we still enjoyed them. They are good because they are crunchy on the outside, yet super soft inside. I will probably make them again. The kids liked them.
These cookies were very moist and good. I used the unsweetened chocolate and just added alittle more sugar and they were fine to me. The next time I make them I may try the semi-sweet just to see if their is a difference in flavor, but they were decent as is.
I made these last year and they turned out very good! I tried to make them again this year and they just didn't taste chocolaty at all. Not sure what happened. The only difference is last year I didnt roll them in sugar and this year I did. They also were not as dark as they were last year? hmm...threw them out due to the taste. Maybe next year I'll try again...
I first made these for Christmas last year and they were a huge hit!!! Everyone loved them...and they are very easy to make. Instead of just using regular white sugar to roll them in, I used red, green, and white--to give them more of a festive look. I LOVE these cookies...and I don't like chocolate! :)
definitely needs semi sweet chocolate instead of unsweetened! very bitter tasting! easy to make though!
Very good! But i would use semi-sweet chocolate instead. It wasn't overly sweet at all. With semi-sweet they tasted like brownies. And when coating in sugar, make sure they are covered very well, LOTS of sugar makes them look like the picture.

I've made this recipe 3 times and everyone loves it!
I followed the recipe exactly. They are too dry to eat. What could make them so dry?
