Made these for a school Veteran's Day celebration. Everyone loved them. I'm not that practiced at making pastry, but this was easy and came out very tender and delicious.

I made these for a bake sale and they were gone rlly fast! i also found that if you add a little bit of coconut on top of the nuts (I used pecans) it is good. I also beat 1 egg white with 1 TBSP of water and brushed it ontop before putting on the remaining cinnamon-sugar.

The recipe didn't yield as many rolls as predicted--but they were VERY delicious and a great treat to send or give-away to friends and family!

I cheated on the dough mix by using croissant dough instead. I rubbed the inside with cream cheese and used strawberry filling. I was very good. I've cooked them several times this way. I will have to try the original version someday.

Very easy to make. I was sorry I didn't make a double recipe because everyone kept reaching for them more than any other cookie on the tray.
