I made this recipe for a church dinner. They were a HUGE hit!! You absolutely must roll the bacon and little smokies in brown sugar though, it puts the recipe way over the top!! I will continue to make these again and again!!

Absolutely wonderful ... loved by all ages, easy to make, & can be prepped in advance. I have to double and triple the recipe, they go that quickly.

Everyone that has suggested sprinkling with brown sugar is correct, this definitely kicks it up a notch. I have found the easiest way is to actually roll the smokies in the brown sugar and dredge the bacon in it before wrapping. A little better coverage and less mess in the pan.

I love these. I also, like the other person who wrote, put brown sugar on the bacon but I add a sprinkle of dry mustard. LL

I Make these alot and they are always a big hit. Yes you MUST sprinkle Brown Sugar on top AND also add a Chunk of Pineapple and Skewer on with the toothpick. Bake until Bacon is crisp (40 min). Cut bacon in 1/3 pieces not 1/2.

This is even better if you sprinkle it with brown sugar before baking.

I make this for Christmas every year but before I put it in the oven dump a bag of brown sugar in the pan. It makes a really yummy syrup that everyone loves. MMMMMM good!
