I have tried this recipe but, I have another little twist to it....add brown sugar to it. Just enough to cover the smokies. Everyone loves this little twist.

Everyone raves when I make these appetizers! I use a Honey/Maple flavored bacon and sprinkle brown sugar on them before baking. I also don't use a full slice of bacon-try cutting it in half or thirds after cutting in half lengthwise. These are absolutely wonderful!

This recipe sounds great, I plan to make, but would like some suggestions on a dipping sauce for it. Any ideas?

To add a little extra flavor I sprinkled brown sugar over the bacon bites. When I put them in the oven I covered them half of the baking time and then uncovered for the other half to keep the sugar from burning. It was great!!! Big Hit!!!

Drizzle with brown sugar before baking and it makes a wonderful carmelized-type glaze that is very good.
