I made this recipe using gourmet cherry preserves in place of strawberry...I took it to a dinner party and got rave reviews...for the topping I used some of the cherry preserves mixed with some fresh cherries and a little vanilla, which I stirred over medium-low heat to combine, making a sauce... then poured the cooled sauce over the cheesecake...Excellent!!! I am making it again, this time I'm going to try using gourmet peach preserves and a peach topping, since I have good fresh peaches. I'm sure it wil be sinful!
