Made this recipe once and my family loved it! I made it again, but the second time, I put thin slices of bananas in between the layers. It was soooo good!

This is my family's favorite recipe for banana cake. I add a couple of additions from the Cake Mix Doctor's version of Banana Cake. They are 1 tsp. of cinnamon and 1/2 cup of brown sugar.

I absolutely loved this recipe! So simple & so delicious. Although, instead of making a 13X9 cake, I made it into cupcakes instead & just followed the directions on back of the cake box mix. However, I did not like the icing that the recipe had called for. In my opinion, I feel that a chocolate frosting icing would of been a better choice. I will make the cake or cupcakes with the chocolate frosting icing for next time.

I made this for a function at work and it was gone in a couple of hours. I made the round version of the cake and I would advise anyone to let the cakes cool longer than the suggested 10 minutes otherwise the frosting will melt and you will have a mess on your hands. Other than that the cake was great and I will be making it again!!!!!

I made this as a sheet cake in a 9 x 12 pan. It turned out wonderful and everyone raved about it! I also added 1 t. of vanilla to the frosting and only used about 1 1/4 c. of conf. sugar.

AWESOME RECIPE! I did susbtitute Coconut for the walnuts though. Next time I think I'll try a pineapple cake mix - with the bananas and coconut it should taste like a Pina Colada! Great way to use over-ripe bananas too!
